I went to Simala last weekend with my husband and his family. Simala is where the Miraculous Mama Mary Shrine is located. It was Sunday and there were hundreds of devotees and first timer like us who went there. I thank the Lord for the graces and blessings I received from him. I am wishing for good health for me and my family and of course i usually included " world peace" every time i prayed God.
The place is so beautiful, according to the people there,it was only a little chapel but now it is like a kingdom. Every 13th day of the month hundreds or even thousands of people visits the place.
It is a holy place and there are rules you must abide as you enter Simala. First at the gate, there are notices that you are not allowed to wear sleeveless and shorts, you are not allowed to smoke either and many to mention that i forgot because i am so engrossedSlide 5 with the beautiful scenery of the place.
Going to Simala is a bit tiring because it took us about more than 2 hours to travel from Cebu City to Sibonga where it is located but as we were approaching the area it was worthwhile because you can feel the Holy Spirit and it is the perfect place to shout to the Lord his name, praises , thanksgiving and petitions.
