This is actually our second time there because last December we went there with Madilon's ( my husbands sister ) friends from Australia.
It was a long ride going there, we traveled around two ( 2 ) hours from here ( Ormoc ) to Matalom Leyte then Matalom to Canigao is about 5 - 10 minutes ride of a Bangka ( boat ).
The weather on that day was so beautiful, the sea is very tame and by the time we arrived in the island it was not yet situated by many people.
As we took swimming, the weather changes from sunny to rainy so it was so beautiful to swim in the water because you wont get any sun burned skin.
Our kids loved it so much because you know kids really love water and all.
I enjoyed swimming there this time because the weather was not that hot and the beach was cleaned - no more sharp stones and sea weeds.
This island is easily accessible by the neighboring place in Leyte and it takes only a few minutes to ride by a pump boat ( Bangka ) for only 45php round trip from Matalom to Canigao island.
The people there are very warmth and friendly. and the place is very safe that is why many people stayed there over night even if there is no electricity on the island.
Going to this island is somehow like going to Boracay though there is a big difference but like us we just wanted to experience white sand beach.
